Minnie Sarwal, MD, PhD
Dr. Sarwal is a key opinion leader in the field of kidney transplantation and kidney diseases. Dr. Sarwal leads a rigorous translational research that aims to understand surrogate biomarkers and underlying molecular mechanisms of organ transplantation dysfunction/tolerance and native organ diseases. The Sarwal lab has developed many standard lab protocols to generate and integrate multi-omics data and published. Currently, Dr. Sarwal’s research focuses on extensive research on genomics, single cell/single nuclear transcriptomics, and ATAC Seq. These projects involves collaboration with UCSF and outside investigators working on the Chang Zuckerberg Initiative, the HIPC consortium, the Kidney Precision Medicine Project etc.
