The UCSF IHG, CAT, and CoLabs co-host the technology seminar series, where you can stay informed about the latest technological advancements from various partners in the industry.
What can proteomics reveal that genomics and transcriptomics cannot? Join us for a Lunch & Learn exploring how mass spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics can complement genomics and transcriptomics to deepen biological insights and provide a more complete understanding of biological systems. We’ll introduce key approaches for discovery research, including deep DIA proteomics, plasma and serum proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and untargeted metabolomics, while discussing practical considerations for experimental design, sample requirements, depth, throughput, turnaround, and incorporating these complementary technologies into multiomics studies.
Services and topics covered:
Deep and rapid DIA mass spectrometry proteomics
Plasma and serum proteomics
Phosphoproteomics
Untargeted metabolomics
Experimental design and sample requirements
Integrating proteomics into multiomics studies
Pierce Popson, Account Manager; Anthony Tong, MS Product Manager; and Craig Marquis, Account Manager, from Novogene will share insights into incorporating proteomics and metabolomics into multiomics studies, including when to run proteomics alongside sequencing versus as a follow-up, and how these approaches can support biological discovery and research goals.
The session will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss study design, sample requirements, data integration, and applications to your research.
