The UCSF IHG, CATexternal site (opens in a new window), and CoLabsexternal site (opens in a new window) co-host the technology seminar series, where you can stay informed about the latest technological advancements from various partners in the industry.

How is digital PCR advancing research in iPSC characterization, gene editing, gene therapy, and methylation analysis? Join us for a Lunch & Learn with QIAGEN exploring how highly sensitive, precise, and multiplexed nucleic acid quantification can help researchers validate editing outcomes, detect rare targets, characterize cell products, and gain deeper biological insights.

The session will highlight how multiplex digital PCR can support a range of research applications, from evaluating gene-editing outcomes and detecting rare targets to gaining deeper insights into cell characterization. Attendees will also learn how to access digital PCR capabilities through the UCSF Center for Advanced Technology (CAT), providing a convenient pathway to incorporate this technology into their research workflows.

David Bauer, PhD, dPCR Market Development Manager at QIAGEN, will lead the discussion and share insights from his multidisciplinary scientific background. Dave holds undergraduate degrees in biology and physics and a PhD in molecular biophysics. His experience spans real-time and digital PCR, including analytical method development for cell therapeutics, customer training and support as a field applications specialist, and digital PCR product and application development.

The session will conclude with an opportunity for questions and discussion about digital PCR technologies, research applications, and available resources at UCSF.
